Intro to Guardian Notifications and Syncing

You may already be familiar with Classroom's Guardian Notifications feature, which allows you to invite your students' guardians to see a summary of upcoming and overview work. The way that this feature works is two-fold. First, it requires that your IT Department enable the feature for your school. Second, it relies on you, the teacher, to turn on the feature in each of your classes and to populate the guardian emails in each of your classes for each student. You are also responsible for keeping these email addresses updated. This is obviously a time-consuming process for you!  

 

Little SIS for Classroom can also sync guardian information from your student database, which severely limits the amount of time that you, the teacher, needs to spend on entering and keeping up with guardian email addresses. If your IT Department has chosen to sync guardian data, all you need to do is turn on the Guardian notification feature in your classes, and Little SIS does the rest. As soon as the feature is enabled, your students' guardians will be notified, and they will be populated in Classroom for you to view or send an email.
