Comparing Google Workspace for Education editions
Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals is free for qualifying institutions. In the licensing area of the Google Admin console, education domains will have Fundamentals licenses assigned to all users.
Additionally, there are three types of paid Google Workspace for Education editions: Education Standard, Teaching and Learning Upgrade, and Education Plus. The Google admin must assign a paid license to end-users for the features of each license to be available. This means some end-users will have multiple Google Workspace licenses simultaneously.
