Quick find and update

The quick find and update feature is designed to make it easy to look up and update a single device. This can be useful when working through a stack of devices, during device distribution to students in a 1-to-1 program, or when inventorying a Chromebook cart.

You can navigate to this feature in two ways:

From the Utilities tab

From the Gopher for Chrome Extensions menu

We recommend clearing the Devices tab at the beginning of a batch of single-device updates, as a way of keeping track of all updates performed.

1. Using the Search by drop-down, select how to search for a device; Serial Number, Annotated Asset ID, or Annotated User.
   
   
2. Enter the search criteria.
3. Click Search.
4. Once a device has been loaded, update any of the editable fields.
5. Click PUSH UPDATE to commit changes.
