Export Schools to Google Sheets or CSV

You can easily export a comprehensive list of all Schools in your domain.

Configuration

Users with the Access to Manage Little SIS timeframe, school, and general tags permission can export the data from Schools directly to a Google Sheets or CSV. 

Exporting Schools

  1. In the menu on the left side of the screen, navigate to Administration > Schools
  2. Click Export at the top right.

  3. In the popup, change the default file name [Little SIS Schools Export - (date)]
  4. Google Sheets is the default File type, select CSV if necessary.
  5. Enter an email to share the export with another person. Separate emails using a comma.

  6. Click Confirm. A message at the bottom of the page let's you know that you'll receive an email when your export is ready. 
  7. Click Close to close the message.
  8. Click the file link in Gmail to open the file. 
     

The sheet contains the following information:

  • Name
  • Code
  • Teachers
  • Students
  • Academic Year/Student Count

Where to Find the Export File

You can access the export file in the following locations: 

  • LSIS Classroom Jobs Sidebar: The exports section within the Jobs sidebar shows both historic and active sheet exports.

  • Gmail: Each time you create an export, an email with the link to the Sheet is sent to your Gmail account.
  • Audit Log: Go to Administration > Audit Log > [Hover over the Details column for an action/row] > View More 
  • Google Sheets: Go to https://docs.google.com/sheets
