How to view video closed captions and transcripts

There are many instances where teachers have active Google classroom classes that they've already begun to work on and populate with content before the start or during the middle of the school year.

You will want to link these classes, review the roster, and schedule the class to run. It's important to know once you accept or decline a class, linking is no longer available.

To link an assigned class from your SIS to an active class, drag and drop an assigned class card from the left to an active Google Classrooms card on the right side of the page.

For this card, when I drop it over the active Google Class, they are linked. Course cards indicate linked classes, making it easy to identify them.

Once you link a class, the left side of the page opens. Here you see the active class and the assigned class being linked.

The number of students and the roster, including action to take, add or remove, student name and student email. If you want to remove the linked class, click the X at the right of the linked class name and it will return to the assigned courses list.

If you are satisfied with the link, click done. Now you can schedule that class to run. One last thing, while working in teacher review, at any time you can view the roster for a linked class by clicking on the vertical ellipsis and then view roster.
