Battery Health monitoring is another tool for gaining insight across your Chromebook fleet. Specifically, you can monitor the state of all batteries across your fleet. By state, we mean the condition of or degradation of device batteries. With this information, you can plan and prioritize device repairs, recycling, and replacements.
There are two places where battery health information appears. The first is the Battery Health State widget in the Gopher for Chrome web app. The second is the Battery Health report available from the Gopher for Chrome sidebar. Let’s take a look at each.
Configuration
Admin console settings for battery health and telemetry must be completed before using the Battery Health Report.
Once configured you can:
- View the battery health by state widget in the Gopher for Chrome web app.
- Run a report showing device and health information for specific devices.
- Run a report, by OU, on the count of devices at each state of battery health.
