GAM	Is there a cost to running GAM on Cloud Shell?	No, GAM is free to run.
GAM	To install on Cloud Shell do you have to use the Mac / Linux link since it is Linux based? Even if it will be used on Windows computers?	No, you can run GAM on Cloud Shell regardless of the device you are using. It works great if you are using a Chromebook as your primary device as well.
GAM	Can we run multiple version of GAM? Or does it depend on the backend? I.E. I run 7 while my co-worker is still using XTD3	Yes, since everyone is running it from their own device, it is fine to be running different versions.
GAM	Apologies if this has already been addressed, but if GAM is used to delete inactive staff or student accounts, can those accounts still be restored through the Google Workspace admin console as long as it’s within the object retention period?	Yes, users and files can be restored within 25 days of when you deleted them. Groups and Classrooms however are permanently deleted, and cannot be recovered.
GAM	When configuring GAM in GW as the ADMIN. What is your recommendation on how to set up the Scope?	The default scopes are fine there. Don’t be surprised if you have to run the authorization process 2 or 3 times as propagation comes into play.
GAM	Where would we need to store the csv file for GAM? Do we specify the path or someplace in the install location?	You would store the CSV file in the same location that you’re running GAM from, or you can specify a path in the command. If you are using Cloud Shell, you would use the 3 dots>upload file and you can pick your CSV wherever it is saved.
GAM	How can I copy a users Google Drive into a Shared Drive?	One GAM command that's helped me alot is gam user [e-mail] copy drivefile root recursive teamdriveparentid <DriveFolderID> mergewithparent true  Depending on how much data a user has, it could take a few hours to a few days.
GAM	When troubleshooting a long and multifaceted GAM command, I remember that there used to be a dry-run command you could issue to see what the command was going to do without actually inflicting change on the organization. Does such a command line option still exist in GAM7?	Most of the longer, more impactful commands allow you to add preview at the end of the command so you can see what the change will actually do before it executes.
GAM	Can you use GAM to clear records from user’s personal directory? contacts.google.com?	There are 2 contacts for each user. Contacts and Other Contacts. Other Contacts is usually what individual users add as contacts. GAM can clear from both.
