Battery Health by OU

The Battery Health by OU Report provides the critical information you need to manage your device fleet's battery life and support lifecycle planning. By organizing battery health data by Organizational Unit (OU), the report enables targeted maintenance and informed hardware procurement.

Understanding Battery Health Gauges

A series of gauges at the top of the report shows you the overall distribution of device battery health across your current selection. These gauges display the total number of devices and the percentage of your fleet that falls into these four categories:

  • Normal: Devices with healthy battery life.
  • Replace Soon: Devices whose battery health suggests they need attention soon.
  • Replace Now: Devices that require immediate battery replacement.
  • Unknown: Devices where the battery health status is unavailable.

Drilling Down into the Data

Below the scorecards, a detailed table breaks down battery health categories by location, allowing you to pinpoint where poor battery health is an issue.

The table columns display the battery health categories (e.g., Normal, Replace Soon, Replace Now, Unknown) and show the count of devices in each category.

The table organizes data using the following columns:

  • OU Path & Sub-OUs: Shows the full path of the OU where the devices reside. You can expand any OU to display its sub-OUs and their device counts, so you can see precisely where devices with specific battery health reside.
  • Normal
  • Replace Soon
  • Replace Now
  • Unknown

Scope and Data Parameters

The report is designed with a hierarchical structure to reflect complex organizational environments:

  • Organizational Hierarchy: Data is organized by OU path. Expanding a parent OU reveals its nested sub-OUs.
  • Data Aggregation: The device counts shown at the parent OU level include all devices within its nested sub-OUs.
  • Dynamic Filtering: Changing the OU via the picker dynamically updates the gauges and the data table.
