The following privacy addendum contains modifications to our base privacy agreement specific to the Little SIS Premium, a CDW Amplified for Education hosted web application.
What information does the Little SIS Premium web application access and store?
Little SIS Premium maintains a CDW Amplified for Education Labs hosted database of the majority of Google API-available fields across Courses, Students, Course Work, and Announcements within Google Classroom. These include:
- Name: First name, Last name
- Demographic information: student email address, class enrollment
- Educational information: none presently. Classwork submission status and score assigned may be added in the future
- Photos, recordings, etc.: Profile photo
This metadata is all mirrored in databases associated with Little SIS for Classroom and Little SIS Premium from Google Classroom and Google Workspace for EDU. No additional student-related data is input into the application. All student data is sourced from Google.
Where and how is this information accessed and stored?
All information is stored in Google Cloud Platform, block encrypted at rest, under secure access control. All information transmission occurs under HTTPS protocols. Any API access to Google data sources is authenticated and under user control via Google's OAuth protocols.
How is information collected and how does it flow?
Data is first collected from Google Workspace and Google classroom. The data is then entered into the source via registration form in Little SIS for Classroom (web).
Is data matched with any other data?
Yes. All data is understood to be linked to the Google Workspace user email address and unique Google Workspace user ID.
Are personal identifiers used to link or cross-reference multiple databases? In other words, can the personal information be retrieved or linked by a personal identifier?
Yes. Student email address, first name, and last name are stored in Little SIS for Classroom and Little SIS Premium. There is no storage of unique government identifiers within the Little SIS application.
What control does the user have over the storage and destruction of this information?
All data stored in Little SIS servers can be deleted at will by the customer. The mechanism for this deletion will be made available as soon as we are in general release.
