Users with the View & export data from Classroom Explorer permission can export the data from the Classroom Explorer directly to a CSV. Exporting is handy when filtering and sorting for specific information you want to retain. For example, you could filter the teacher column for Unknown User to see orphaned classes. Exporting to CSV lets you retain a record of that classroom information.
To export:
- Check the checkbox for the classes to export or use Select All at the top. If classes are not selected, all are included in the export.
- Filter the columns as necessary to narrow the classes.
- Click Export at the top right.
- In the popup, change the default file name [Little SIS Classrooms Export - (date)]
- Google Sheets is the default File type, select CSV if necessary.
- Enter an email to share the export with another person. Separate emails using a comma.
- Click Confirm. A message at the bottom of the page let's you know that you'll receive an email when your export is ready.
- Click Close to close the message.
-
Click the file link in Gmail to open the file.
The sheet contains the columns shown at the time or the export.
