From Student Explorer, you can invite, email, and remove guardians for a student. When you invite a guardian, they receive an email at the address you enter for them. After accepting the invitation, they receive a weekly summary of the student's progress, including missing and upcoming work, as well as new teacher posts. From Student Explorer, you can:
Invite Guardians
- Search for and select a student in Student Explorer.
- If it does not open to the Student details tab, select that tab.
- At the right of the Guardians section, click the 3-dots.
- Click Invite Guardians.
- Enter the guardian's email in the field provided.
- Click Invite. The guardian's email now appears in the Guardians section.
- Repeat these steps for each guardian.
The invited guardian receives an email invitation that they must accept to become a guardian and receive summaries.Â
Email Guardians
When you email a student's guardians, all added guardians receive the message.Â
- Search for and select a student in Student Explorer.
- If it does not open to the Student details tab, select that tab.
- At the right of the Guardians section, click the 3-dots.
- Click Email Guardians.
- Enter the email message.
- Click Send.
Remove Guardians
- Search for and select a student in Student Explorer.
- If it does not open to the Student details tab, select that tab.
- At the right of the Guardians section, click the 3-dots.
- Click Remove Guardians.
- Check the checkbox for each guardian to remove.
- Click Remove.
