Chrome Device Settings Required for User and Session Activity Reporting

Gopher for Chrome offers user and device reporting, which relies on capturing user login and session data. For this data to be available, you must set the managed device settings for User Data to Do not erase all local user data.

Setting and what it monitors

Active Times: Shows up to the last 15 days of device activity, including the last use and its duration. The displayed times and dates are based on the device's time zone. You can turn this feature on in the Admin console at Main Menu > Devices > Chrome > Settings> Device Settings > User and device reporting > Device reporting > Enable/Disable device state reporting.

Recent Users: For the device's enrolled domain, displays the most recent users of the Chrome device. Email addresses for unmanaged users are not displayed; instead, they appear as User not managed by your domain. You can turn on this feature in the Admin console at Main Menu > Devices > Chrome > Settings> Device Settings > User and device reporting > Enable/Disable tracking recent device users. At this time, only users from the same domain as the device's enrollment will be shown.
